Heather's Hues Ethereal

I've been on a major thermal kick recently, so when this lovely showed up recently it jumped right on my nails.

Yeah.  Wow.

Heather has apparently come into a stash of everybody's fave red-to-green Clarins 230 type shifty shimmer, and dumped a generous helping of it right into this jaw-dropping tri-thermal polish.  Ethereal is a deep eggplant purple when cold, a bright cornflower blue in the middle, and a cool-toned nude when warm.  I got everything from funky french tips to gradual color shadings across my whole nail when wearing this, and it's one of those tonal thermals that just looks lovely at all colors.

Ethereal is a delightfully sensitive thermal, quick to change color with minimal changes in my surrounding temp.  It's shifty enough that cold/warm water assistance was utterly unnecessary to get these pics in all the transitioning states.  Fun fact:  your hand is supplied by 2 different arteries, with one of them supplying your thumb, index, and middle fingers, while the other takes care of your ring and pinky.  Since it's been really frosty lately, those 2 arteries run in different areas on the skin, and this is a super sensitive thermal, it wasn't uncommon for my ring and pinky fingers to be a different shade than the other 3!

Previous so-so experiences with thermal UPs had me skeptical, but Ethereal is gorgeous in both it's thermal shift and the amount of UP sparkle - those embers glow at all points on the thermal background, and it's both a gorgeous UP nude and a gorgeous UP purple/blue.

Rating:  an absolutely smashing 5 out of 5 stars.  The formula on this was of an ideal consistency that needed minimal cleanup, and it then had the good grace to wear fantastically for a whole week.  The weather didn't cooperate in my getting more outdoor/sunshine shots, but that bottle macro is 100% accurate in showing the flash of the shimmer.  Ethereal is completely beautiful.

Where to buy:  this sold out when it was first posted, but it was recently restocked in Heather's Hues web store.  After loving this one so much, I rushed right on over to snap up Ethereal's green sister!
