Sweet Baby Octopolish!

 One last holiday nail art look to close out the year! indoor, CF lighting for both Baroness X has been releasing tons of seriously amazing fluid polishes for at least a year now, things that make beautiful marbled designs with a little extra oomph.  Fancy Gloss is known for their soft sheer crelly line (less so than for their thermals, but Got Milk is a frequently recommended fave white polish for a lot of folks).  Put 'em together and we get this! I started my Christmas tree look with 2 coats of Fancy Gloss Got Milk, a soft (not stark) white that's flawlessly leveling on each coat and gave me zero issues with application.  Then I made a sheet of fluid art marble with OPI Christmas Gone Plaid, Sinful Colors Under 18, and Baroness X Glam - a bright metallic gold flake/foil that also happens to crate this cool effect.  When the marble sheet was dry, I peeled it off my silicone mat, snipped it into tall narrow triangles, and applied with a touch of sticky basecoat...

After a way too rainy autumn, the sun finally started peeking out, so round 2 of "all winter holiday all December" needed a cheerfully blinding holo. indoor, CF lighting Treehouse is a flamingly linear holo in a shade somewhere between mossy green and old-gold bronze - I have it filed as green, because it most definitely looks green in the bottle, but in fact most of the time on the nail it wore more as bronze.  Either way, it's a flashy antique earth tone with an utterly perfect formula that threw rainbows at every opportunity.  I haven't bought a "plain" holo in quite some time - apparently, I prefer my holos to be multichromes or have flakies or something else... but this color is utterly unique in my stash and well worth grabbing. outdoor, overcast daylight Over this earthy bronze, I've stamped a wintertime forest with a touch of snow using BM-407.  There's one large dot of snow plus a few smaller ones at the top of the image, and I r...

Baroness X has been making some truly amazing creations as one-and-done batches, sold as the monthly mystery polish. indoor, bright CF lighting Bifrost, the June 2017 mystery polish, is a pale icy blue that leans only very subtly toward aqua.  There's a delicately sparkling linear holo effect in there, plus an overlay of a 230/UP "sister" type shimmer pigment that tilts from the sort of fuchsia-pinky that my camera mostly refuses to see properly over to a soft minty green. bright afternoon sunlight The green flash + the delicate holo effect is above, while the pink flash seen in direct light is below (though, again, IRL the pink was more dramatic): outdoor, bright afternoon sunlight Bifrost had a perfectly lovely formula that went on smoothly at 2 coats and proceeded to wear very nicely for the several days I had it on. indoor, bright CF lighting I've stamped here first with white stamping polish using a full-nail snowflake design from Kads 005...
