When ya got time to paint and are ready to deal with the precision needed to make magnetics work...

I'm just gonna say: HOT DAMN.

Bee's Knees released the magic that is Losing My Mind (srsly, mind is lost, just wwooowwww) as part of the album covers theme with March 2019 PPU. This will obviously be a pic-heavy post, both because this polish has a lot going on, and because it's just too pretty for me to cut back the photos.

To start with, this polish is quite sheer to let all these gorgeously shimmery elements shine forth, so I've layered 2 coats of it over a single coat of a piano black crème. In the bottle, LMM is a dusty plummy purple full of iridescent flakies, with flashes of red and gold. But when you magnetize it...

And THERE'S where the magic is revealed. Losing My Mind is a black base filled to the brim with everyone's favorite Clarins 230 shimmer, plus "ghost flakes" in the same red-to-green color shift (but wait there's more), plus an overlay of a blindingly metallic iced aqua-to-purple magnetic pigment.

At certain angles, the magnetic shimmer somehow vanishes (see above where there's nearly none visible on my index finger), which really lets the "unicorn pee" shimmer take center stage, with those gorgeous ruby red glowy embers. With a little tilt of the hand:

The 230 shimmer goes from red to bronzed gold to green, while the magnetic shimmer goes from icy aqua over to purple. The shifts are beyond stunning, the sort of thing you have to stop staring at your nails while driving.

If being a stunning glory in the sun wasn't enough, this flashy thing doesn't even need the bright lights to look fabulous... ordinary office lighting still has this plenty fancy:

The flakies come out a bit more in lower lighting, but this polish is still a real stunner in most any light.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars, my mind is lost indeed. All of the separate elements combine beautifully to make a complex but always beautiful look (this isn't a kitchen-sink clashing mess!). The sheerness means there's also some choices for undies that change the overall look a bit, with black or deep purple being the 2 prettiest picks I've seen so far, though as with all 230-type polishes that shimmer shows best over dark colors.
Where to buy: PPU is a one-and-done, good luck hunting this one down in blog sales & destashes.
