Shleee Polish Beauxbatons

On occasion, something I order shows up looking even more magnificent than the pics led me to believe, and ends up jumping to the front of the line of untrieds clamoring for attention.

That there bottle shot tells you most everything you need to know about the gloriously sparkly Shleee Polish Beauxbatons: we have a lovely cornflower blue filled to overflowing with aurora shimmer so vibrant that it borders on metallic, and just to tip it over the top, has a light scattering of holo dust thrown in.

That aurora shimmer is particularly shifty, going from a saturated rose red through gold (above) and of course on over to acid green (more intensely than the below photo captures).

Beauxbatons was nearly visually opaque in 2 coats, but a 3rd intensified both the blue base and the oomph of the shifty shimmer.  Despite how sheer the first coat went on, by the 3rd this was absolutely opaque even in very bright light.  The formula was easy to work with despite the multitude of shimmer, with the only caution being of course that the sparkles like to cling to your skin, easily taken care of by a scrub in the sink the next morning to dislodge any clingers.

By the end of the week I still wasn't ready to take this off, and added a negative-space teardrop stamping pattern from UC 6-02 using the slightly blue-tinged liquid silver of MoYou London Mystique.  It was a fairly subtle design overall, really clear only in low light, which suited the airy pastel look just fine for me.

Rating:  Beauxbatons is easily a 5 out of 5 star polish, there's really nothing at all to nitpick.  This color is amazing, it wore *great* for days, the formula gave me no grief, and did I mention THE COLOR.

Where to buy:  I usually pick Shleee up directly from her web store, but since her best colors can sell out wicked quick, a fantastic resource for slightly older colors is Girly Bits.
