Continuing my switch back to dark polish every other mani is this long-untried super vampy blue, Color Club Williamsburg.

Williamsburg was released way back in 2013, and was the other hit from the Girl About Town collection (the first being
The Uptown, long sold out and now hard to find).

This is a super deep, dark, inky sapphire blue, filled with a microflake and glassfleck shimmer that makes little electric blue sparkles in this night sky base.

It goes on smoothly and is thoroughly opaque in two coats - you could likely get away with one very thick coat, but we all know that won't dry properly and might make your topcoat bubble, so stick with a lighter hand here.

We also know blues this saturated are going to stain the ever living everything out of your cuticles, so paint carefully! Even a session with a clean-up brush wasn't adequate for me to get the blue off the edges, this needed a couple of showers to look clean. In other words, don't think you can paint with this right before stepping out unless you have a more precise technique than I do!

It being the dead of winter and just horribly cold lately, the man suggested some snowy artwork. I've layered some snowflakes here in white and El Corazon Aurora Borealis with images from HeHe Fairy Tale 03, which has all the possible snowflakes you could ever want.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars. This is a nice base for nail art designs, especially if you want vampy chic without going full black on your nail color. But the formula is a touch thinner than I'd like, I had obvious edgewear within just a day, and the cuticle staining thing is a little annoying.
Where to buy: this one is readily purchased from anywhere that sells Color Club nail lacquer - direct from them, ebay, amazon, etc.
