With this spring's disappointingly unpredictable weather (hurry up and stop freezing already!!), the best I can make of things is to consider the unseasonable chill as just an extension of "thermal season."

Polished by KPT was an absolute queen of gorgeous thermals, so when I found one of her last ones still in stock at Femme Fatale, I snapped it right up. Lust, from the 2016 Valentine's day box, is a jelly thermal with fine holo flake that shifts from a cooler dark berry red to a warmer almost brick or poppy red.

The first coat was super streaky, not atypical for jellies, but smoothed out with the 2nd, and needed a 3rd to be completely even. Like most thermals, Lust dried down to a waxy near-matte finish and needed topcoat to shine.

I found this thermal to not be super sensitive, with subtle changes over time rather than quick dramatic ones, and I never really had the "funky french" effect. The bottle shot up top is the only one I really got where this polish was even sort of in transition; generally it was all one or the other.

Both red states were pretty on me, and the delicate holo sparkle jazzed this up just right. This wore a little more quickly on me than ideal, though, and after a day or so, I re-applied the tip edge to my nails and added some stamping. Just like my last mani, I added a design from the MoYou London artist collection 26 plate, this time in a swirling bubbles design, using Born Pretty silver stamping polish.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars. A nice color, but neither unique in my stash nor worth the time for that 3rd coat. I think I just prefer more dramatic thermals.
Where to buy: KPT has been out of the polish game for over a year at this point, and the last of her products gone now from Femme Fatale (the few other stockists I was able to track down are also sold out). Keep your eyes peeled on destashes & blog sales to score one of her lovely thermals.
